In October the RAF Squadronaires played at the Sage Gateshead for the 70th anniversary of the battle of Britain.

The Sage Gateshead has become a premier venue in the UK and is named as such partially because of it’s location but also because it’s major patron is The Sage Group. Sage themselves are the UK’s leading provider of business software to small and medium businesses in the UK, they are fast expanding around the globe and gaining a major foothold in the corporate market.

Their solutions range from accounting software through to forecasting, job costing and payroll software. Their most popular product, and one which pretty much every small business owner has heard of is Sage line 50, not the smallest product in their range, but ideal for smaller businesses who only need a handful of concurrent users. Due to the recent re-branding exercise it is now known as Sage 50 Accounts, with Sage 50 Accounts Professional being the flagship product, this is available for up to 10 users all accessing at the same time.

In addition to the core products, they have also developed software for particular vertical markets, these include HR, construction and manufacturing. The construction product is great for medium sized building, development and sub-contracting companies, it’s called Sage 50 Construction when linked to the 50 range of accounting and payroll software, or 200 construction when linked to that range.
